The History of the Brabazon International Automotive Design Group

Picture
The history of Brabazon Motors is rich and varied, encompassing motor racing, classic car restoration, cutting-edge and contemporary design and electric vehicle developments. The name for the firm came from the Bristol Brabazon aeroplane, the largest ever built in Britain. The plane itself was named after John Moore-Brabazon, a pioneer of British aviation and motor racing.

The original Brabazon Motors was formed after the collapse of the legendary Bristol Cars, by former staff who carried on the great tradition of these classic British vehicles by restoring vintage and modern models back to mint condition. The in house team consists of specialist craftsmen include coachbuilders, panel beaters, engineers and welders with a wealth of knowledge and experience. Their specialisation is the upgrading and bespoke restoration of Bristol Cars, offering a vehicle which not only embraces innovation and classic appeal, but also allows the customer to specify any bespoke options or upgrades that they wish for.

In recent years, a reinvigorated Brabazon Motors joined forces with International Automotive Design. Our combined design and engineering skills have allowed the group to move beyond simple restoration of classic vehicles, and develop a whole range of sports and conventional road cars, including the new Minerva supercar.
